1. Who We Are

Guessly is operated by Guessly.me. If you have privacy questions, data access requests, or deletion requests, contact us at hello@guessly.me.

2. Data We Collect

  • Gameplay Data: anonymous information such as guesses, progress, streaks, language, and session IDs. Required for the game to function.
  • Account Data (Optional): if you sign in, we store your email and nickname using Firebase Authentication. Anonymous play is supported using a generated device ID.
  • Analytics: we use Google Analytics to understand aggregate usage and improve the game.

3. AI & Third-Party Services

To generate hints, roasts, and gameplay responses, your text inputs may be processed by trusted AI providers (such as Google Gemini / OpenRouter).

  • We do not send your email or personal identity to AI models.
  • We send only anonymous text guesses and game context.
  • Firebase is used for hosting, authentication, and database storage.
  • We do not sell personal data.

4. Legal Basis (GDPR)

Where applicable, we process data based on:

  • Contract necessity: to operate the game
  • Legitimate interest: improving Guessly
  • Consent: optional analytics & cookies

5. International Transfers

Data may be processed in the EU or United States depending on the provider. We use reputable services with industry-standard safeguards.

6. Cookies & Storage

We use local storage to save progress and optional analytics cookies. You may disable analytics at any time in settings or your browser.

7. Children

Guessly is not directed to children under 13. If you are under 16 in the EU, parental consent may be required. If we learn a child account exists, we delete it.

8. Data Retention

  • Gameplay history is stored as needed for streaks & rankings.
  • Account data remains while your account is active.
  • Analytics follow Google retention policies.

9. Your Rights

  • access to your data

  • restriction or objection to processing
